Sorry, but either the Chime plugin is not installed in your browser,
or it
is not sufficiently recent to work with Protein Explorer.
Please
download the free current version of MDL Chime,
install it, and try again.
You must close Netscape completely (Quit on the Macintosh) and restart
it before a new installation of Chime will work.
Is it worth the bother?
If you have already installed the current Chime, the installation
process was not successful.
-
To be certain, click on Netscape's
Help menu, and select About Plugins. If Chemscape Chime 2
is not listed, it has not been installed in this browser.
- After installing Chime, you must close all Netscape windows and restart
Netscape in order for it to be able to use Chime.
-
The most common reason for unsuccessful installation (especially
on MacPPC's):
During installation of Chime, the installer asks you to
select the plugins directory/folder for your browser.
If you select the wrong one (a different version of the browser,
a different browser, or a different application which happens
to have a plugins folder), Chime is put in the wrong place
and is not accessible to this browser.
If you suspect this report to be in error, you are welcome to
with the current configuration of your browser.
Improper operation may not be obvious unless you have experience with
Protein Explorer in a compatible browser/chime installation.
