A list of compatible browsers is below. Is it worth the bother to update your browser? Here are some snapshots of Protein Explorer in action!

Netscape Communicator: Download 4.7X from www.netscape.com. At that site, press the Download button near the top of the page. Do not click the next download button for version 6. Look for the link "For other Netscape products click here". After clicking that, click on the link Netscape Communicator. Select your language, operating system, and click on the current version (4.79 at the time this was written). When asked to "Choose Component", the "base" is smaller than the "complete" download. Either is sufficient.

If you wish to test running Protein Explorer in your current browser even though we don't think it will run, you can (not recommended). You may not recognize whether Protein Explorer is operating properly unless you have experience with it in a fully compatible browser.
